The latest Clinical Guidelines tell us we should be grouping the cause of lower back pain into one of three categories:
1.Simple or non-specific lower back pain (95%)
2. Nerve root irritation (sciatica)(<5%)
3. Serious back problems (<1%)
This section is about simple or non-specific lower back pain. Most of my caseload is made up of people who have this type of back pain and I'm sure they would agree that although this is the most common type of back pain there is nothing very simple about it at all.
