How this site is financed

The information offered on the website is designed to support, not to replace, the relationship between patient and clinician.

The revenue from this site is derived from context-sensitive advertising (Google Ads), affiliate advertising and sales of my own e-book.

The information in this web site is based as far as possible on the best available scientific evidence. However, now and again I see a product that I think may be useful to you and I may include a link to the relevant web site.  Sometimes these links earn me an income and are called affiliate links. These links look and work just the same way as normal links, the difference is if someone clicks on them this is tracked by the company selling the product and it may generate a payment to my site ( payment details vary mainly it is a % per purchase e.g. Amazon books).

I do not provide links to products simply to earn the money generated, all the products I suggest are in my opinion offering something worthwhile and of potential value.

To make it really clear which links are affiliate links and which are not the affiliate links have an asterisk (*) before them. If you would like to view the product but would prefer it to be through a non-affiliate link then it is very easy to go directly to the sellers web site and avoid the tracker link.

Where does the money go?

The money I earn from this web site helps pay my salary (I work 2 days a week on the site) and it means I can continue to deliver evidence based information and keep the site up to date. The money also goes towards the actual costs of running a web site.

If you have any questions please contact me via the contact form (link on the left) and thank you for your support!

And this is the formal information.....
